Cannabis Chronicles: First-Timers’ Stories of Discovery and Delight

trying cannabis for the first time testimonials

Today, more people are discovering cannabis and becoming “cannacurious”. Maybe they want to try cannabis, but aren’t sure where to start. Maybe they are intimidated by the dispensary experience, and don’t know what products they should purchase. From dosing, to finding the right products, it can be a daunting experience for first time cannabis consumers. But the best way to learn is through first hand experience.

A while back, The Clear hosted a small party, inviting cannacurious consumers to attend and explore cannabis for the first time in a long time, or their first time ever. These are their first-hand testimonials of their experience. By sharing these experiences, we hope to show others who are considering cannabis that it doesn’t need to be intimidating, and in fact, can be a life changing experience. We also dive into detail with everyone involved in the latest podcast episode of Let’s Get CLEAR, which you can listen to here.

Marcy

Marcy is an infrequent consumer who has only consumed edibles in the past for sleep, but still felt they made her mind race. One of the most commons issues reported by new cannabis consumers is anxiety or paranoia, most commonly caused by overconsumption. After trying a new Clear product, she had this to say:

“I’m just having a great time. It’s awesome. It’s so much fun. It is so upbeat. It’s a very upbeat, like, uplifting feeling. I feel happy. I’m pretty excited.”

Michelle

Michelle came to the event with little knowledge of what she would be consuming, only that the option to consume cannabis products would be available. She was concerned about getting too intoxicated due to her past experience.

“I did try an edible once before and I felt really sluggish all day like I had been out in the sun and sometimes I don’t like to feel too high where you’re out of control and you’re just like it’s, you know, you can’t even relax, right? Clarity is an important thing for me.”

Then Michelle tried one of our products.

“So my clarity usually when I get high is like a 10 and this is like a 20. Wow. Yeah. Seriously I’m just being honest. This is just different. Yeah I feel really good. I think you’re onto something with some good energy and yeah, I mean I would do it again and I’d probably buy it. Yeah I’d pay for it and tell my friends.”

Laura

It had been roughly 20 years since Laura had consumed cannabis. She used CBD for her dogs, but wasn’t totally sure if that was still considered cannabis. After seeing her dogs improve with CBD, she decided to try it herself, and became curious about THC again. This was her experience trying a new Clear product:

“It kind of perked me up, it gave me an alert feeling. I was concerned that I was maybe going to be a bit tired. But it’s been a good experience, it’s very positive.”

Laura told us she used to be an extrovert, but became more introverted with age.

“I’m typically fairly extroverted, but I think as I’ve gotten older, I’m a little more introverted than I used to be. So I wasn’t sure how I would respond. And this actually brought me out of my shell a little bit more. It’s easier to be in a social situation, but without, like, the drawbacks of the alcohol.”

As the stigma surrounding cannabis begins to fade, the industry must cater to the needs of the cannacurious; those who may want to try cannabis, but like our guests above are hesitant. The Clear is working hard on brining exciting new products to the market specifically for this demographic, and we can’t wait to share more in the future. If you are considering trying cannabis for the first time or just the first time in a while, always start low and go slow. And if you’re interested in attending an event like this in the future, shoot and email to hello@theclearbrands.com and let us know!
